Most people who buy herbs from the grocery store don't know this unusual trick, and lose money.
This only works for basil, thyme, rosemary, mint, parsley, lemon balm, oregano, sage and marjoram.
Most people who buy these herbs lose money because they don't know that you can actually get a second sprig of herbs for free when you buy one at the grocery store...
This unusual trick allows you to reduce food waste, and save money...
...and all you need is your herbs, scissors, a cup of water, and a pot with soil!
Here's how you can regrow store-bought herbs: - Remove leaves from the bottom half of the herb stem
- Make a 45 degree angled cut at the bottom of the herb stem
- Place cut side of the stem into a cup of room temperature water with the remaining leaves above the water line
- Leave the cup of herbs in a warm and bright area (such as a windowsill) and replace the water daily
- Wait about 2 weeks until roots have developed
- Place into a pot of soil with great drainage
- Water well
